Coming from a theatrical family, it was only natural that Robyn commenced dance classes as soon as she could walk.
As Robyn's mother and aunt were original members of the Borovansky Ballet Company, then the Australian Ballet, she was taken to classes and rehearsals, and ballet soon became part of her world.
Unfortunately, Robyn grew too tall for a classical career but her training held her in good stead for teaching as well as cabaret work at many popular clubs, theatre and T.V.
Miss Robbie started teaching at age 17 and has been associated with prominent teachers such as Irina Mitchell, Tanya Pearson, Val Smith, Bill McGrath and Keith Bain.
Robyn also started Physie at age 3 at a local BJP Club and loved it too. She competed until age 42 and won and placed in team and individual comps. Teaching physie was part of this journey and Miss Robbie had great success with her girls in teams, zone competitions and the nationals at the Opera House.
Miss Robbie always aims and strives for excellence with all her students to acheive their best in exams and competitions, as well as teaching students personal self respect and to learn that with hard work and dedication the sky is the limit.
“I'm privileged to have been invited to come ‘out of retirement’ to teach at this friendly and innovative studio.”
