Coming from a theatrical family, it was only natural that I commenced dance classes as soon as I could walk.
As my mother and Aunt were original members of the Borovansky Ballet Company, then the Australian Ballet, I was taken to classes and rehearsals and ballet soon became part of my world.
Unfortunately, I grew too tall for a classical career but my training held me in good stead for teaching as well as cabaret work at many popular clubs, theatre and T.V.
I started teaching at age 17 and have been associated with prominent teachers such as Irina Mitchell, Tanya Pearson, Val Smith, Bill McGrath and Keith Bain.
I also started Physie at age 3 at a local BJP Club and loved it too. I competed till age 42 and won and placed in team and individual comps. Teaching physie was part of this journey and had great success with my girls in teams, zone comps and the Opera House.
I strive for excellence with all my students and always aim to achieve top results in exams and competitions, as well as teaching them self respect, to their teachers and other students in and out of the studio.
I'm privileged to have been invited to come "out of retirement" to teach at this friendly and innovative studio.
